Xanthomera Skipper
Synonyms
This butterfly was formerly known as Neohesperilla xanthomera; along with the rest of the Neohesperillas it was moved into the genus Toxidia in 2022.
Notes
This was one of several butterfly species that was hilltopping at Mt. Ngungun. There were only one or two specimens of this species; they flew rapidly very close to the ground, but once settled they weren’t too hard to approach as long as they didn’t decide to chase off another butterfly.
