Toxidia crocea (Narrow-brand Grass-skipper) 

Synonyms

This butterfly was formerly knows as Neohesperilla croceus or Neohesperilla crocea. Along with the other Neohesperillas it was moved into the genus Toxidia in 2022.

Notes

The first time I saw this butterfly was alongside a path in a grassy area near Atherton. I saw several more of them in the Northern Territory in April 2018, but didn’t come across another in Queensland until April 2021, when I photographed one near Koah.
