I saw this species in three different parts of Sydney in November 2004 (Ingleburn, North Sydney and the Royal Botanical Gardens), but on each occasion the butterfly just flew along without any thought of settling. I’d expected to photograph some in Cairns, but didn’t see any in October 2005. In April 2006, however, I saw them on three or four occasions, and two of them settled to pose for photos.
In Cairns the butterflies generally floated around slowly, settling from time to time on low shrubs.
