Most of the time I was in Cairns I paid little attention to the small skippers I saw, because I tend to find them really hard to identify, and there were usually other (more identifiable) butterflies around. But when I saw this butterfly settled in a grassy area I could tell it was sufficiently different for me to be able to tell which species it was. I took a number of photos, but for some reason most of them were out of focus. Oh well…
