I have updated the Photo Gallery with the photos from my 3 most recent butterflying trips, namely :
- Glenbrook and Emu Plains on 01/09/2019
- Ingleburn and Mount Annan Botanic Garden on 15/09/2019
- Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park at Duffys Forest on 21/09/2019; this being my first full-on Butterhiking day this season.
The following species pages have had photos added :
- Graphium macleayanum (Macleay’s Swallowtail)
- Acraea andromacha (Glasswing) : adults and a larva
- Hypocysta metirius (Brown Ringlet)
- Hypocysta pseudirius (Grey Ringlet)
- Cyprotides cyprotus (Copper Pencil-blue)
- Candalides xanthospilos (Yellow-spot Blue)
- Candalides heathi (Rayed Blue)
- Trapezites iacchoides (Silver-studded Ochre)
- Trapezites praxedes (Southern Silver Ochre)
- Trapezites eliena (Orange Ochre)
- Timoconia peron (Dingy Skipper)
The highlight was definitely the day I spent at Duffys Forest, where I had the privilege of seeing a number of Trapezites iacchoides; one of those “special” butterflies I never tire of seeing. Thanks to Jackson for the tip-off about this location!
