Notes
I saw a small number of these butterflies close to the boardwalk at Polblue Swamp in the Barrington Tops National Park. They were more cooperative than the other Neolucias I’ve seen – they settled for longer and didn’t seem to be bothered when I got close to take photos.
In January 2019 I saw a number of fresh specimens of ssp. hobartensis flying around low shrubs next to the carpark at the summit of Mount Wellington, Tasmania. It was a warm day, at least by Mount Wellington standards, and the butterflies were very active which made getting decent shots difficult.
