Notes
This beautiful skipper had been very high on my “lust list” for years. I’d hoped to find it at Barrington Tops but lucked out there, probably because it was just a bit too early in the season. I finally got to see this species along Corin Road in the A.C.T, thanks entirely to the efforts of Suzi and Richard. It’s safe to say that this butterfly lived up to my expectations; it was such a treat to see 3 specimens within a few square metres, all happily posing for photos. I’m biased because I do love my Skippers, but I reckon this is one of the most gorgeous butterfly species I’ve ever seen.
