Notes
Apparently I was fortunate to get photos of this species. Bob Miller took me to a site on the road to the Copperlode Dam in September 2008, hoping to find butterflies on some lantanas. As it turned out, the lantanas had been removed, and the area was now grassy. Several of these yellows were flying there – Bob said he hadn’t seen them at Cairns before.
I subsequently saw them a bit further inland at Kuranda, Atherton and Herberton, as well as in the Iron Range National Park.
