I generally see some of these butterflies when I visit Cairns, with the largest number being on my second visit in April 2006. As with other Grass-yellows I have few photos because they tend to flutter around a lot without settling for any length of time. Most of my photo opportunities have under heavy overcast, when the lack of sunlight made them settle, or when it was so hot they sought to shelter in the shade.
Despite the name, these are not large butterflies, they are slightly larger than the other Grass-yellows.
