Notes

This is another of the many species that I see frequently on my trips to Cairns but don’t get to photograph very often.  They do settle, but have a tendency to continually open and close their wings. They are also quite difficult to approach without disturbing them. 

I’ve had most luck early in the mornings, when the Rustics are happy to bask in the relatively weak sunshine to warm up.
